New Audio Release: The Heretic (Templar Chronicles #1)

Those awesome folks over at Graphic Audio are at it again – this time with the audio version of THE HERETIC!

The Heretic

At the end of the First Crusade, the church created a monastic military order known as the Knights Templar. Now, rising up from the ashes of history, they are the Vatican’s last defense in the war between good and evil…

Cade Williams is no ordinary man. His ability to cross over to the other side makes him uniquely qualified to command the Church’s special operations division. As a modern-day Knight, Cade can use the curse that has scarred his soul as a weapon against the forces of darkness. But a new kind of unholy war is brewing — and soon Cade may be the last man standing…between the living and the dead.

The desecration of Templar cemeteries has sparked a full-scale investigation. Cade and his team suspect that a cabal of necromancers is behind it all. Their purpose: to claim the legendary powers of a lost holy relic for their own ungodly campaign.

For Cade, there’s only one way to stop them — by tracking the dead himself…crossing the most sacred of battle lines…and facing his own terrifying demons.

New Audiobook Release: Tear of the Gods (Rogue Angel #31)

Apparently, its audio week for me, as I’ve got some more news to share in that regard.  GraphicAudio (a smokin hot audiobook company that you all need to check out!) has released my third Rogue Angel novel, TEAR OF THE GODS, this week and once again I think they’ve done a fabulous job.

Tear of the Gods

It started as a dream — a redheaded warrior king fought and died for his men centuries ago. The dream would lead archaeologist Annja Creed to the king’s undisturbed corpse… and one of England’s greatest mythical artifacts.

Deep in an archaeological dig in England’s Midlands, Annja locates a braided necklace around a mummified king’s neck. Made of an unusual material — not quite obsidian, but gleaming with multihued color — the torc is an astonishing find. But someone knows exactly what the torc means. And he will do anything to get his hands on the Tear of the Gods. When the dig is compromised and innocent archaeologists are slain, even Annja herself is left for dead. Now she is fleeing for her life, not knowing the terrifying truth about the relic she risks everything to protect — or the devastating consequences should it fall into the wrong hands…

THE HERETIC audiobook now available from GraphicAudio

“A Movie in Your Mind” – that’s what GraphicAudio calls their audiobooks and I think its a pretty decent description.  Original background music, digital sound effects and full cast narration make these very classy adaptations well worth listening to, in my view.

Which is why I’m very excited to note that GraphicAudio has released the first book in the Templar Chronicles, The Heretic, a month earlier than planned!

Six hours of Templar action and adventure – what could be better?  You can even listen to a sample before deciding on either a direct download or a 5 CD boxed set.

If you’re into audiobooks I’d urge you to drop by their site and check out the various series they have available – books from Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Lilith Saintcrow, Christopher Golden, John Shirley, Peter Brett, Simon Green and more.

Listen to the story that launched the internationally bestselling Templar Chronicles series…

Captain Cade Williams and the newly formed Echo Team are sent to the city of Boston to investigate reports of a mysterious blood cult and the disappearance of several members of the Templar Order. What they find will have repercussions that echo well into the future…

This story first appeared in SPECTRES AND DARKNESS (a collection that also included stories by Drew Williams) and introduced the character of Cade Williams, a former Boston SWAT officer who developed certain unusual powers in the wake of an encounter with a supernatural entity known as the Adversary. The events that unfold in this story form some of the background for A TEAR IN THE SKY, the third book in the Templar Chronicles series.

GraphicAudio acquires Templar Chronicles series

Now that the contracts are signed (and the audiobooks listed for preorder over at Barnes & Noble.com!) I’m free to announce that all three books in my Templar Chronicles series to date – The Heretic, A Scream of Angels, and A Tear in the Sky – have sold to GraphicAudio for audiobook production.

I must say I’m extremely happy with this deal.  GraphicAudio is the company that produced the audiobook versions of my Rogue Angel novels from Gold Eagle and they do an absolutely tremendous job.  Full cast narration, sound effects, even original musical scores – they cut no corners and their productions sound like a million bucks!

If you are into audiobooks, this is a company you want to get very familiar with in a hurry.  Their material comes as mp3 downloads or boxed CD sets and includes such terrific genre titles as Lilith Saintcrow’s Dante Valentine and Jill Kismet series, E.E. Knight’s Vampire Earth series, the aforementioned Rogue Angel series, James Axler’s Deathlands and Outlander series, even a host of titles from D.C. Comics!

Heck, don’t take my word for how good they are – download their new catalog and see for yourself!
