In the opening of my review of Peter Atkins” MOONTOWN, I mentioned meeting Peter at a group signing event held at the Dark Delicacies bookstore in Burbank, CA several years ago. In one of those fits of coincidence that the universe likes to through our way from time to time, last night while hunting for something completely unrelated I stumbled upon two pcitures that were taken of my end of the sigining table that day.
Here’s the first one – Del Howison (owner of Dark Delicacies) is standing on the right. Next to him is Peter Atkins, then the artist GAK (who’s also lot of fun to hang around with), and then your’s truly. The final person in the picture is Eric Pigors, the illustrator I was paired up with for the project.
This second photo was taken a few minutes later, showing some of the other folks who were in attendance at the event (and who’s names I’m going to have to look up and add later!)

On the second photo next to Eric is Johnen Vasquez author of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and the cartoon on Nick that was something like Zip or Zap or something from space.
Next to him is Crab Scrambly and I can’t tell on the girl.
