The Heretic NFT

Thanks for your interest in the limited digital collectible NFT edition of The Heretic! I appreciate it very much.

In order to take part in this history making event on Thursday, October 20, 2022, you will need to do three things:

  • Create an account on the Book.io website (See below)
  • Create a crypto wallet to store your ADA (currency) and your NFTs. I like to use the Yoroi wallet, so that is what I am going to show you how to set up in the video.
  • Buy some ADA at the Kraken Exchange and send it to your wallet. It takes 72 hours before you can move your funds off the exchange, so do this NO LATER than Monday night. (Follow this guide to manage creating a crypto wallet and adding some funds to it – )


Step 1: Create an Account

1. Go to https://app.book.io/.
2. Click “Sign up” on the top right.
3. Provide a valid email address and a password.
4. Verify your email by clicking the link in the verification email.
5. You’re in!

Issues?
1. No verification email received: wait 5 minutes, check your spam folder or try to create an account again with that email (if it lets you, it means you were not registered).
2. Forgot my password: use the password recovery function. If you don’t get an email with instructions, do the same as described above.

Step 2: Get ready for the mint

1. Once logged in, click “Mints” on the top right.
2. You will see a list of books which mints are open or upcoming. Click “details” to see the book page.
3. ALL the information is visible: number of books, price, wallet/transaction limit, policy ID and mint time. 4. Transfer ADA to your wallet. Calculate your funding based on the PUBLIC price.
5. If the mint is not open, you will see a timer. It will change automatically to “Mint now” when the sale opens. No need to refresh!

Step 3: Mint

1. Click the “MINT NOW” button.
2. You will enter our queuing system which is made of 4 steps.
3. First, the “quiz” to ensure you are not a robot.
4. Answer the question(s) correctly.
5. Use the slider at the bottom to choose the amount of books your want. (edited)

Step 3: Mint ( 2 / 4)
1. You will be placed in a queue. Simply wait for your turn. 2. If there is no NFT left when your turn comes, the process will stop.

Step 3: Mint ( 3 / 4)
1. If there are still NFTs left, you will see the address and the amount of ADA to send.
2. Send EXACTLY the amount of ADA indicated before the timer expires.
3. In case of special pricing (OG club), you will pay full price and get your discount back with the NFT.
4. Every transaction that was confirmed on the blockchain before the timer expires will be honored.
5. Every transaction after that or with an incorrect ADA amount will be automatically refunded later.
Notes: No wallet connection is required to make the payment. Any wallet (including mobile) can send the ADA to the address and get the books.

Step 3: Mint ( 4 / 4)
When the transaction is received, you will see your books.

Step 4: Enjoy!
1. You received your books and they are 100% yours. Here are some ideas:
2. Click “Go to Bookshelf” to start reading,
3. Show what you got on Twitter and tag @book_io,
4. Send them as a gift to friends and family,
5. Sell them on a secondary marketplace such as jpg.store.
