Sometimes it’s easier being a devil in the City of Angels…
Sam Lake isn’t a good man. He doesn’t lead a good life. But then it’s hard to be an angel in Los Angeles, whatever the name says.
Sam’s having a bad day. He woke up this morning knowing that he has about sixteen hours to solve his own murder or it’s lights out forever. How does he know? According to Dante Grimm he’s lived this day once before, and Grimm has made a deal with the universe to sacrifice his magic in return for Sam getting a do-over. The problem is he can’t tell Sam what happened first time around for fear of influencing him.
Sam needs to save himself, and in turn save the Veil, or everyone dies, not just Sam. Whichever way you look at it, that’s a bad day.
